Elementary August Week 3 - We Can Show Others Mercy
Posted: 8/15/2020
Hello SCC Kids and families,
I hope everyone is hanging in there and starting to get into the swing of the new (and very different) school year. I want to encourage all of you. I know all of us are working really hard right now but you've got this, and God's got you! We may not always understand why things happen the way they do, but we can have faith knowing God is in control and that he ultimately has a plan for good for each and every one of us. I'm so proud of all of you. I'm here to help if there is ever anything I can do for you and your family, please let me know. I would love to hear how school is going! I miss you guys so much!
This is week 3 of our Brave series. We are talking about what it means to be brave. We've also been talking about David and how God chose him for a very important job and how David was able to defeat the giant man, Goliath. This week we learn how David is brave by showing mercy to someone who wanted to hurt him. He had a chance to hurt this person who was being mean, but he showed us mercy. That's not an easy thing to do, but it's what God wants us to do. God shows us mercy everyday through Jesus. It is important for us to be kind, helpful, compassionate and merciful to others. If you guys ever want to discuss what this means, or how we can show compassion to others as a church, you can call, text or email me.
I hope everyone has another awesome week! I love you and God loves you too!
Love,
Ms. Brandy
