Elementary November Week 2 - I Am Safe Because God Watches Over Me

Hello SCC Kids,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I loved seeing some of you at our zoom party last weekend. If you weren't able to make it, we missed you! Don't worry, we will have another one next month so mark you calendars for the first Sunday in December. This will be a special holiday zoom party, you won't want to miss it! Hopefully it won't be too much longer after that that we can start meeting and having parties in person at our new building. That will be awesome!

This month we are learning about songs in the Bible called Psalms. You may already know the Psalm we are learning this week, Psalm 23. It starts out, "The Lord is my shepherd..." This is one of my favorite Psalms. Do you know what it means to call God our shepherd? Shepherds take great care of their sheep and guide them to the safest and best places. That is exactly what God does for us! If you are ever feeling scared, nervous or sad, you can think of this Psalm and remember God is with you, God will protect you, and God loves you so much!
