Elementary November Week 4 - I Am Forgiven Because God Loves Me

Hello SCC Kids!

Gobble! Gobble! It's almost Thanksgiving. It's the perfect time for another segment of SCC Kids Cooking For Christ! This week we are making turkeys...pita pizza turkeys! We have a special guest joining us in the kitchen where we will be creating personal pizzas from pitas and adding toppings to make them look like turkeys. We have so much fun and learn a very valuable lesson about forgiveness and asking for forgiveness. 

Have you ever hurt a friend's feeling? Maybe you said something that wasn't nice, yelled at them, or disobeyed your parents. The truth is, we all make mistakes and sin from time to time. This is not the way God would like us to behave, but there's good news! When we confess that sin and ask for forgiveness, God forgives us, makes the sin disappear and helps us to make better choices next time. We don't have to dwell on what we did wrong. We know that God forgives us so we can forgive ourselves, or anyone else who may have hurt us. We know we are forgiven because God loves us!

God loves you so much and so do I! I hope you all have a very blessed Thanksgiving. This year, I am thankful for my family and that includes you!
