Elementary January Week 3 - Blessings Are Gifts God Gives Us

Hello SCC Kids!

I hope everyone is having a blessed week. Do you ever stop and think about blessings? We talk about being blessed by God, we say, "bless you," when we sneeze, but what are blessings? Blessings are gifts God gives us. Have you ever heard the word, "Beatitudes,"? No, it does not mean beautiful attitudes, lol. Beatitudes is a part of the Bible in Matthew 5 where Jesus talks about blessings. Jesus talks about the kind of people who receive blessings from God. Those who are humble, forgiving, selfless, even sad. That's right! Even when we are sad or things do not seem to be going well, God continues to bless us. This week, look for the many blessings in your life. Write them down to keep track of them or share them with others. When you are feeling down, you can look at the many ways God blessed you and feel better! I am so grateful for all the blessings God has given me. Each one of you are such a blessing!
