Elementary February Week 1 - God Loves Everyone

Hello SCC Kids!

Don't you just love, love? I know I do! This month we are learning all about love! Our series is titled, "Real Love." There are different types of love but I like to think of God's love for us as real love! God's love for us is unconditional and never ending. He loves us more than we could ever imagine! This week we learn how God loves everyone...EVERYONE! In the Bible, some of the very wise religious leaders believed God only loved the people who followed all the rules, knew all the right things to say, did all the right things. But in John 3 we learn from Jesus that God loves everyone, no matter what. In fact, God loves us all so much that he sent his only son (Jesus) to be with us on earth and save us from our sins. We just have to believe in him to be a part of God's family and have eternal life. I can't imagine the kind of love God must feel for us to give us such a gift! It is important that we show love to everyone, just as God shows love to us. Sometimes, that can be hard to do if we don't feel like it, but it is what Jesus wants from us. If God can love everyone no matter what, I think we can too!
